Shop owner accused of stealing client’s boat, being involving in hit-and-run on the water. March 30, 2022,
https://www.local10.com/ reports that a 37-year-old business owner was arrested months after he allegedly stole a
client’s boat and then fled the scene of a crash while operating it.
Kansas City, Kansas, man sentenced to pay more than $21,000 in restitution for insurance fraud.
April 25, 2022, https://www.einnews.com/ reports that the suspect filed two claims for the same 21-foot boat alleging
theft. Investigators determined that the boat in questioned was never manufactured after checking the HIN.
Quick detection, fast response limit damage to boat fire on Miller Bay. April 17, 2022,
https://www.kitsapdailynews.com/ reports that the cause is still under investigations but most of the destruction was
in the vicinity of the boat’s connection to shore power.
Accused killer who fled into woods caught trying to steal boat, California cops say. April 12, 2022,
https://www.sacbee.com/ reports that the man initially got away and was found a week later trying to steal a boat in
the harbor and had a loaded stolen handgun and psychedelic mushrooms.
