Forensic Marine Investigations, Recovery and Support

Kevin B. Hays Fire Consulting, LLC (KHFC) is a multi-disciplined forensic, fire and explosion consulting
company with services offered throughout the southeast and a laboratory located in Central Florida.
KHFC serves insurance companies, adjusters, law firms, manufacturers and a variety of other
interested parties throughout Florida and the southeast in need of forensic marine services. We
conduct various marine origin and cause, fire and explosion investigations for locations and properties
including but not limited to Marinas, Vessels and unique watercraft. Our forensic marine investigations
are conducted and lead by Certified Marine Investigators (CMI).

Additionally, we offer the services of a specialized Forensic Support Team (FST) for marine
investigations and projects. This specialized team is available for services on projects nationwide even
when KHFC is not directly involved in the investigative activities of the case. Our FST has extensive
training and expertise being able to offer the following specialized services:
 Forensic Evidence Recovery, Preservation and Management Specialist
 Site Management and Safety Officer
 Designated rehabilitation, recovery and rehydration area
 Debris sifting and artifact recovery operations
 Artifact and evidentiary packaging and shrinking
 Asbestos Awareness & HazMat Specialist
 Trained in Biological hazards
 Forensic underwater services for evidentiary documentation and artifact recovery.
 Medically trained first responders, AED & Oxygen Provider Certified
 FAA UAV (Drone) Pilots

KHFC has over 10,000+ square foot of secured laboratory and warehouse space. Our 2000+ square
foot laboratory is available for large multi-party examinations and is fully equipped with microscopic, x-
ray, ultra-sonic cleaning, vehicle lifts, and a wide assortment of hand and air tools available for usage.
Beyond evidence storage our warehouse encompasses a large negative pressure particle isolation and
containment room which houses our debris recovery operation. Decontamination of artifacts takes
place within the particle containment room preparing the items for inspection within the laboratory.
