https://miami.cbslocal.com/ reports 7 people hospitalized with one being air lifted after initial reports came in of
multiple people in the water with civilian boats in the area attempting to rescue them.

Charges: Man claims that he stole Nicollet Island houseboat ‘under maritime law’. September 23, 2020,
https://www.startribune.com/ reports the man cut the rope and was drifting up the Mississippi before being
captured hours later.

Winter warning for boat owners after outboard motor theft. October 10, 2020, https://www.edp24.co.uk/
reports boat owners have been warned about the danger if maritime crime over the winter months, as thieves
find this time to be the most opportune time to strike.

Supreme Court sinks lawsuit over boat sale. October 14, 2020, https://www.royalgazette.com/ reports after an
agreement to overhaul a boat for a set price, it was discovered after the work was complete that the boat was not
insurable and not seaworthy by a marine surveyor. A default judgement was issued and affirmed.
